Bar JH Ranch Stay - Independent Riding - 4 Days -- Enjoy a 4 day 3 night stay in a quaint little tin-roofed cabin located ten miles from Ranch Headquarters and has its own corral, hay, and water pump for the horses. Inside you'll be greeted by a clean, newly refurbished, 4 room cottage that sleeps four. The gravity fed, hot shower and toilet facility are outside. In the kitchen is a propane cook stove, a tank for running water, and a wood stove in the living area for heating. Plan to bring and prepare your own food. There is a communication device in the house for your safety.

Your daily activities are up to you. You catch your horse in the morning, saddle it and then you are free to ride the range on your own, watch for wildlife, bring your binoculars and use our blinds to watch for birds, ride to one of our lakes to fish or canoe, or join our cowboys for a day of work.

When you return, you are responsible for caring for your horse unsaddling, feeding and watering. In the evening, enjoy watching the stars, listening for the yip-yip-yip of the coyotes, and feel the cool wind on your face. You will live a week just like generations of people did before us who worked the land on horseback, paving the way for our world as it exists today.

The Bar JH house was once a social center for the region boasting the best parties for miles around. Neighbors would regularly drive their buggies, wagons, and horses to see the horse races, dance in the barn, eat the mouth watering meals prepared by the neighboring ranch wives, and to socialize in general.

A minimum of 2 guests is required for your safety and enjoyment. This package includes lodging, horses, horse facilities, and tack . This does not include meals. This price is per person for 4 days and 3 nights. Additional nights may be purchased for $250.00 per adult and $188.00 per child. Child rate applies for children 12 and under.
